Natalie Chin is a Staff Attorney for Lambda Legal, the oldest and largest national legal organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and people with HIV.
Since joining the organization in January 2008, Chin has worked as co-counsel in Doe v. Montgomery County Board of Elections, representing 12 plaintiffs in a challenge to invalidate a referendum petition seeking to overturn a law that adds gender identity as a protected characteristic in Montgomery County's anti-discrimination ordinance.
Prior to joining Lambda Legal, Chin worked for MFY Legal Services in New York where as a staff attorney, she represented individuals with mental health disabilities and the elderly. She previously was an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the New York City Law Department where she litigated cases in state and federal court. Prior to attending law school, Chin worked as a journalist in California and South Africa. Chin received her bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University and her J.D. from George Washington University.
